14th September 2016- Junior Cert Results Day 2016
So, after an edgy summer for everyone who had just completed their Junior Certificate, the question on all of their lips now is ‘When are the Junior Cert results coming out?’. The answer is the 14th of September.
From experience, I can assure you all it will be quite a nerve-wracking day for every junior cert student. You will be anxious to see what you got after putting all that work in, while at the same time being slightly afraid of performing poorly and letting yourself down. The best advice I could give is to try not get too stressed about the junior cert results, because it is completely out of your hands once you have put your pen down after your final exam. You should always try to not get worried about things which are out of your hands.
If you are a student who sat the junior cert and studied as hard you believe you could have, then you should be satisfied. We all have off days on the day of an exam so maybe you are not happy with some subject results, but as long as you know you tried your hardest in the months leading up to the exams and really left nothing behind during the exams, then all you should feel is pride.
The feeling of happiness when you are pleased with your junior cert results is indescribable, and although many argue that the importance of these exams pale in comparison to the Leaving Certificate, it is all relative. The manner in which everyone is tested puts an extreme amount of stress upon everyone so you should be proud of yourself.
On the other hand, you may be devastated with your results. You may feel like you gave it everything, but it just did not work out for you. This feeling can be gut-wrenching. I fully understand how easy it is for someone else to tell you that it does not matter, but you must understand as long as you truly know that you could not have worked any harder for these exams then you must keep your head up. Many students become so affected by poor Junior Cert results that they carry an attitude of disregard for any future exams, as they think they will never be enough. This is the worst thing to happen to anyone. The key to achieving what you want is by keeping your head up even when you are disappointed.
The most important thing to remember is that the only way to deal with failure is to learn from it and continue working towards what you want to achieve.
If you are someone who is only going into 3rd year now, then the best advice I could give you is to sign up to JC-Learn now. If you do this, with hard work, you will achieve whatever you want in the exams. Just imagine how happy you will feel on the day of your junior cert results if you are satisfied with them. So, why not sign up now?
